Everyone seems to have a

Everyone seems to have a feeling about Mondays; frankly, they usually despise them. Personally, I don't really have anything against them. In fact, today was an absolutely fabulous Monday: I got some work done, went to a bunch of appointments and got that all worked out, had some really good conversations, and God threw me some curves, helping me to grow and learn along the way.

I woke up this morning and I looked forward to my day. I used to get up in the morning and say something like Thank you for this day, Father, for it is another opportunity to serve you. Today, though I didn't say that, I was given plenty of opportunity. I helped out some sisters in need of some reinforcement after a bad experience this weekend, I had a wonderful conversation reminiscing about home with someone while also helping them to see God, and I just feel really refreshed. Today I didn't really let much get to me--or should I say, God didn't let much get to me. Last night at the IV leadership meeting, we talked about refusing to accept situations in the fallen world. Of course, the first thing that came to my mind was refusing to accept that the friendship God has blessed Rebekah and I with could be secularized and lost. But it goes far beyond that. Today, I kind of felt like I was away from God, but at the same time, it was like He was always there with me. I had this great conversation tonight with a girl named Hannah and we talked about how I always get parking spots. So, when we come home from the emergency room (heh, long story), there are obviously no open spots, but I go into the Pit and someone pulls out, leaving a perfect spot for me. God is good.

God, thanks for being with me today and tonight. I really enjoyed myself and was able to serve you by touching the hearts of many of my brothers and sisters. Thanks be to God.

Anyway, so yeah, I was at the emergency room. I didn't hurt myself, but Eric did. We were hanging out in the third floor lounge and kinda running around. Eric jumped up on a couch to demonstrate freestyle walking and he hit is hand on a ceiling light, tearing a chunk of flesh from one of his knuckles. So, Hannah, Eric, and I go to the emergency room (me to drive, Hannah for moral support(?), and Eric because he was injured). Hannah and I end up having this great conversation. She went to St. John's College in Annapolis, where Rebekah had a dance recital, she has family in Albuquerque, she knows Katie (!!!) from work in Annapolis, and she thinks that Jan was the florist at her best friend's wedding at St. John's last October. She's also a Jewish Atheist and she's on what seems to be the verge of coming to Christ. We talked a bit about that tonight. She was talking with a friend not to long ago about the Chaos Theory and I mentioned that it pretty much proved that God exists. She said she knew. It was cool.

So, yep, that was my Monday. A pretty cool Monday if you ask me.
