Don't ask me why I'm

Don't ask me why I'm doing this because I don't really understand it myself, but I'm going to go drop me car off at the service place (should have done this already, but I forgot) and walk back (that's the part I don't understand). I need to pray about some stuff and I figure I might as well get some exercise at the same time. I hope it's not raining. :)

Do you ever wonder who

Do you ever wonder who the angel is that watches over you?

Archives are offline for the moment. I'm attempting to convince my school to install PHP so I can do some nifty stuff with them. :)

One of the things a

One of the things a lot of Christians are concerned about is witnessing, often called evangelism. However, there is a fundamental difference between the two. Evangelism's aim is to save people. There isn't any long-term goal of building a relationship with a person or anything like that. Evangelists just want to save people. People who witness have a different focus: they seek only to glorify God. Yep, that's right. They just want to glorify God. There are a couple of verses that talk about this:

Not unto us, O LORD, not unto us, But to Your name give glory, Because of Your mercy, Because of Your truth.
Psalm 115:1
But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.
Acts 1:8

When we glorify God, we allow Him to work through us, touching others' hearts. We don't have to evangelize someone for them to know Christ. If you glorify God and just live for God, you're showing them who He is right there. It's that simple.

Let's take a simple test.

Let's take a simple test. Rank the following from 1 to 10 (10 being highest) in the order that they glorify God.

  • Reading the Bible
  • Folding laundry
  • Hanging out with friends
  • Going to church
  • Eating dinner with your family
  • Driving home from work
  • Praying about yourself
  • Playing frisbee with a group of Christians
  • Praying about someone else
  • Evangelizing

All done? No peeking!

Well, as you might see, there isn't a list here. Erm, so what's the order then, you ask. Well, all these things can be done in such a way that they glorify God. Everyday household tasks can bring just as much glory to Christ as going to church or spending time in prayer. How? Well, it's all in your attitude. What's your goal? What's the purpose of what you're doing? Instead of doing things to get them done, consider doing stuff because it's part of the work that God wants you to do. Some pretty cool things happen when you do this. :)
