Let's take a simple test. Rank the following from 1 to 10 (10 being highest) in the order that they glorify God.
- Reading the Bible
- Folding laundry
- Hanging out with friends
- Going to church
- Eating dinner with your family
- Driving home from work
- Praying about yourself
- Playing frisbee with a group of Christians
- Praying about someone else
- Evangelizing
All done? No peeking!
Well, as you might see, there isn't a list here. Erm, so what's the order then, you ask. Well, all these things can be done in such a way that they glorify God. Everyday household tasks can bring just as much glory to Christ as going to church or spending time in prayer. How? Well, it's all in your attitude. What's your goal? What's the purpose of what you're doing? Instead of doing things to get them done, consider doing stuff because it's part of the work that God wants you to do. Some pretty cool things happen when you do this. :)
