The new Neil Gaiman novel,

The new Neil Gaiman novel, American Gods, came out today. It's very favorably reviewed at many places, including Amazon. Neil's been keeping a journal about the book publishing process, among other things. His journal makes very good reading material.

My cat, Mia, hasn't been

My cat, Mia, hasn't been feeling well lately. She's been hiding in strange places, sleeping more than usual, and not eating well. We're taking her to the vet tomorrow, hopefully. She's currently under my dresser, cleaning herself. Poor thing.

I've been trying to figure

I've been trying to figure out for a while now how to react to the whole Timothy McVeigh / death penalty thing. I read a nice journal entry about the whole thing and I'm inclined to agree with it, but at the same time I'm not sure. I have such a hard time agreeing with the things that I read because I don't want to be told what to think; I want to figure it out for myself. Of course, this is done largely by reading the opinions of others and then figuring things out for yourself, but I digress.

Much of the problem is that I haven't taken the time to think and pray about it or talk to my mentors about it. The death penalty isn't the only thing that can be described this way. However, I shall save the rest for other entries. In fact, I'm going to save the rest of my thoughts for other entries, for I don't really have any other thoughts. How thoughtless of me....
