Word of the Day

Todays' Word of the Day, brought to us by Merriam-Webster (as usual), is:

shaggy-dog story - SHAG-ee-DOG-STOR-ee (noun)
a long-drawn-out circumstantial story concerning an inconsequential happening that impresses the teller as humorous but the hearer as boring and pointless; also : a similar humorous story whose humor lies in the pointlessness or irrelevance of the punch line

Then You can make it rain to Your heart's delight! So, it spit some more, but tapered off a bit, on the drive home. I got the mail, walked onto the porch, and right then it started pouring! I mean, I stepped foot onto the porch, didn't even have a chance to turn around, and the skies opened up. Cool, thanks. It's cool having Somebody look after you like that.
