I've noticed something about a lot of the web logs I visit. The design is often very light, with a whitish background, grays, and not quite black text. I've been thinking of redesigning my site for quite some time and I had original gone with a blue and yellowish look, but I'm thinking lighter is better.

One of the interesting things that I've found is that most of these people seem to read each other's blogs and comment on them in their own blog. They all seem to be somewhat techy and they all have a very nice design. None of the design is really that complicated. It's often artsy and accentuated by a nice photo here and there. Classy.
Most of these sites are good reading, though time consuming. Enjoy.
