Following up to my previous post about the How are you?
--Good
movement, I've learned a couple things since I started doing this. First, I'm going to become a seriously social person which is somewhat frustrating and frightening, since that's something I never thought I'd be. And second, it means I sometimes don't answer people when they ask how are you?
because they're expecting just to hear good
back. They don't anticipate another answer, so their mind is already elsewhere by the time the question leaves their mouth. That's a bit disconcerting, but it's something I'll live with for the opportunity to mix things up a bit.
In other news, so far, so good. I've had a lot of good conversations recently and I'm looking forward to more soon. This has definitely been a worthwhile experiment.
