There's been a lot of conversation amongst the so-called A-list web logs (Evhead, megnut.com, and 0(zero)format to name a few) about web logs. I usually call such discussions meta conversation, or conversation about a concept rather than the normal subject matter. For instance, friends talking about their friendship, couples talking about their relationship, and a professor talking about the class syllabus instead of teaching are all examples of meta conversations. Amongst these conversations, Dennis came up with a list of things Hereby Banned from All Web logs, which he later followed with an article on How to Write a Better Weblog over at A List Apart. Mind you, most of these tips should be taken with a grain of salt, as the author himself warns in his article.
