Drupal 4.5.2 Released

Drupal 4.5.2 has been released. As well as fixing bugs, it also fixes a security issue. So, if you're running Drupal, you should upgrade. More details are available at the Drupal release page.

IMAP Testing Starts

I had the pleasure of testing the new IMAP back-end for the first time yesterday. To put it bluntly, it didn't work very well. But I think in a couple of weeks once all the major issues are taken care of, we'll start seeing the benefits of the new code. I can already see the potential for improvement. :)

Welcome back, Stranger, yet...

We interrupt the regularly scheduled weblog postings for the following announcement:

Note to self: Do not, under any circumstances, do any kind of database testing after 2am. It can lead to undesired results, like emptying the database table containing your weblog entries. Fortunately, you have a really cool host that makes frequent backups. Otherwise, you'd have lost a lot of irreplacable data.

Note to everyone that isn't me: We're experiencing some technical difficulties and will be offline for a short period of time until database backups can be restored. We apologize if this has caused an interruption in your normal weekend browsing habits. No new content has been added recently anyway, so you're not missing much. Go read a good book instead. Happy Sunday!

UPDATE: The database table has been restored and we're back in business. We apologize for being even less stylish and contenty over the past two days. Thanks for hanging in with us.

Now, back to the regularly scheduled weblog postings.
